The University does not receive a copy of your certificate or any detail about any positive disclosure.
You will receive a DBS certificate from the Disclosure and Barring Service in the post.
You must retain your DBS certificate in case your placement provider asks to see it.
You are advised to to ensure that you receive it.
If you don’t receive your DBS certificate, you must contact the within 3 months of the check being completed.
The University is informed whether your DBS certificate has a positive disclosure or whether it is clear .
If your DBS contains a positive disclosure, you will be contacted by the University. You will be required to bring the certificate, along with a form of photo ID, to one of our drop-in sessions to be reviewed.
