To fully enrol, receive your student funding and meet the requirements of the course you are required to complete a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) enhanced disclosure. DBS certificates are sent to the individual only - you must track your own certificate after completion of the application.

If you have any questions or concerns about making a DBS application including any queries in relation to the following please contact professionalchecks@shu.ac.uk :
- lack of documentation
- name changes or gender reassignment
- a previous identity that you do not wish to be disclosed on your DBS certificate (we can put you in touch with the DBS sensitive applications team who will advise you of what you need to do)
