Staff profile for Professor Andrew Alderson, Principal Ï㽶ÊÓƵ Fellow at Ï㽶ÊÓƵ. Andy has almost 30 years experience of highly collaborative interdisciplinary advanced materials research at the academia/industry interface.

I joined the jewellery and metalwork team at Sheffield Hallam in 2003. Having graduated Sheffield City Polytechnic in 1987, I worked as a designer goldsmith in the USA for three years followed by a master’s degree at the Royal College of Art. Graduating in 1992, I established my first studio in London which I relocated to Sheffield in 1996. I have been teaching in higher education since 1993 and am currently a part–time Senior Lecturer at SHU, independent silversmith and Director of Si Applied Ltd.

I am a Principal Designer at Design Futures, a multi-disciplinary design group based at the University.

Hywel is the Consultancy Manager and a Senior Consultant in the Materials and Engineering Ï㽶ÊÓƵ Institute

Amanda's role is to develop relationships with external contacts linked with food and drink manufacturing, including manufacturers, equipment suppliers and funders in order to identify mutually beneficial collaborative opportunities

I am an environmental geoscientist, researching the ways in which human activity affects the physical environment and try to find solutions to the ways in which the physical environment affects human activity. I joined the Department of the Natural and Built Environment in January 2017.

Lectures in Ba Games Design. Has 12 years teaching experience and five years industrial experience.
