Please read this important information about your enrolment. You can find directions and maps on our how to get here pages.

Teaching begins the week commencing 21 September and you will receive further details during the induction and enrolment day. For information about teaching schedules visit your course page.

Complete the online pre-enrolment before you arrive

This helps us enrol you more quickly after you get here. Details will be sent to the email address you provided in your application form. If you'd prefer us to email a different address contact directadmissions@shu.ac.uk

What you must bring to University

  • Your printed pre-enrolment summary from your online pre-enrolment.
  • Evidence of your qualifications. International students need proof of English proficiency such as IELTS scores or equivalent. Please bring original certificates as photocopies are not accepted.
  • Photo identification such as your passport, driving licence or EU National Identity Card. International students subject to immigration clearance must provide a valid passport and visa documentation.

Sport induction and enrolment day – all students

Wednesday 23 September, Collegiate Hall

All students must register at the meet and greet desk. During the day you will meet your tutors who will provide an introduction to the course. You will also receive information about the University's facilities and services. View your induction timetable and course handbook on the relevant course page.

Sport induction for international students

Thursday 24 September, Oaklands 203

Meet other international students in a relaxed and informal environment. Previous international students have found this session very helpful and we strongly advise you to attend.

University-wide international student orientation

Wednesday 16–Friday 18 September, main Owen Building entrance

This is organised by the International Student Support Team. It's a great opportunity to make new friends and familiarise yourself with the University and the city of Sheffield. You also complete important practical tasks including medical registration, opening a bank account and police registration. Plus it's a great opportunity to meet hundreds of other new students.
