First startup joins accelerator programme

Intelligent textiles business are the first startup to join the AWRC Wellbeing Accelerator. They will have access to state-of-the-art laboratories, business support and specialist facilities to help bring products to market that improve people鈥檚 quality of life.

The Nottingham-based company has a patented technique to knit sensors directly into textiles. This technology can be applied to compression bandages, wound care, injury rehabilitation, baby monitoring and performance monitoring textiles for top athletes.

Joining the accelerator programme will allow the startup to validate their sensors against gold standard techniques available in state-of-the-art labs at the University鈥檚 new Advanced Wellbeing 香蕉视频 Centre. It will also bring new opportunities to interact with more than 30 industry mentors associated with the programme.
