About

I finished a degree Fine Arts at the University of Barcelona (Spain) interested in comic and animation. After finishing my degree, I studied Animation in a small studio that was also an animation school. The studio offered me to be part of an independent traditional 2D animation production working as animator and clean-up artist. It was very enjoyable to practice traditional animation on paper. I have also worked as graphic designer but the activity where I found a stronger sense of life purpose is education. A scholarship gave me the opportunity to complete an MA and PhD at the University of Granada (Spain) in collaboration with the University of British Columbia (Canada) in the field of Art Education. My PhD explored the use of participatory animation projects with children and young people as a means for inclusivity. The scholarship involved acquiring teaching experience at a University level. It was a challenging time, but decisive to be where I am. A job opportunity took me to the UK where I have found a place to develop my passion for animation and education. Finally, I could connect the dots! :)
