About

I currently work as a Senior Lecturer in Finance at Sheffield Business School, 香蕉视频. Previously, I have also worked as Graduate Teaching Fellow at the University of Liverpool. I am now serving as Level Leader for the Postgraduate Banking and Finance Program.

I obtained my PhD in Finance from the University of Liverpool (under full funded doctoral scholarship). I hold an MSc in Financial Management with Distinction from 香蕉视频, where I was awarded the Transform Together Scholarship by the University. Prior to this, I completed my MBA and BBA degrees in Finance.

My scholarly works have been published in ABS indexed high impact factor Q1 journals, and I have authored a book chapter on Green Financing published by Routledge. I also presented papers and acted as session chair in top conferences including the British Accounting and Finance Association (BAFA). I also won several best paper awards. I serve as a Reviewer for different reputable academic journals such as the International Review of Financial Analysis, Finance 香蕉视频 Letters Journal and Canadian Journal of Administrative Sciences. My research interest is in the field of Climate Finance, Biodiversity, CSR, ESG, FinTech and Corporate Governance. I am an advanced user of programming software STATA and possess knowledge of research database including Bloomberg, LSEG and WRDS. I am also co-leading a 香蕉视频 working group on 芒鈧淔intech and Financial Inclusion芒鈧劉 at Sheffield Business School.

I have taught numerous Finance Modules at both the undergraduate and postgraduate levels. I have substantial experience of supervising thesis students. I am trained PhD supervisor and examiner. I have also secured full funding for my PhD project proposal, aimed at attracting a highly qualified PhD student under the GTA scheme of the university. I have Associate Fellowship at the Higher Education Academy (HEA), UK. For my dedication to impactful teaching and my proactive approach to fostering a positive educational experience, I was nominated for the Inspirational Teaching Award-2024 at 香蕉视频.

I serve as an Academic Adviser at the Commonwealth Scholarship Commission (CSC) in the UK, playing a critical role in the selection of graduate Commonwealth Scholars for PhD and Master芒鈧劉s programmes at UK universities. I also serve as external examiner of MSc in Finance Program at University of Salford. I am member of The Association of Corporate Treasurers (ACT). My other current and former membership in Scholarly Associations include American Finance Association (AFA), Financial Management Association (FMA), Centre for Social and Environmental 香蕉视频 (CSEAR), and the British Accounting and Finance Association (BAFA).
